P2-B
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture-

This game is set out in the 1980’s. The player is in a deserted fictional village in Shropshire, England, called Yaughton.
The main characters are scientists- Dr Katherine Collins and her husband Stephen Appleton.

Everyone within the game needs to find out why people are mysteriously going missing. In the game you can figure this out through puzzles and various missions.

That Dragon Cancer-
This heartfelt game is based on the Green families’ experience with the illness cancer. their son Joel, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer at twelve months old, and though only given a short time to live, continued to survive for four more years before eventually  giving in to the cancer sadly March 2014. The game goes through the emotional journey that they go through.
GTA V-
GTA V follows former bank robber Michael Townley who lives in LA under witness protection, undergoing missions and also roaming around the open-world action game.
Virtual Families-

Virtual Families is a Life Stimulation game that runs in real time. Adopt a character from thousands of choices and  care, clean and look after them and their house.

Encourage them to work in their chosen career to earn money for things such as clothes and food, help them choose a life-long partner and also interact with daily puzzles and activities such as cleaning the house, getting married, going to work or even cooking a meal.

P2-C- Development

GTA V-
Rockstar North began to develop Grand Theft Auto V n 2009, following Grand Theft Auto IV's release. Development was led by a team of more than 1,000 people, Rockstar found they were able to push the consoles' graphical capabilities further than in the previous games. The games developing and marketing was 170 million makes it the most expensive game of all time.

That Dragon Cancer-

Ryan and Amy Greene are the producers of the game and they work with Josh Larson who was another developer. They all decided that the Greene’s journey with Joel battling cancer would make a strong game.

The development team did not have the captiablity and technology to create faces on characters.

The development team had a problem while writing the script as it didn’t involve as much interaction with Joel as they wanted. Therefore to improve the script writing team produced a script that had more interactions with Joel.

Virtual Families-
Arthur Humphrey is the founder of the game, along with his wife, Carla as the co-founder. The game was founded in 2014 and had many problems from the start as the game plays in real time- and if players are not constantly on the game- their characters have a chance of dying. Carla and Arthur sorted this problem by adding in a feature that allows players to ‘pause’ their game. The game was created in San Francisco, California in the headquarters of the Last Day of work. The game was created to be ‘easy to pick up and play while at the same time providing more in-depth and complex gameplay than the typical casual game.

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture-

This game was inspired by Dear Esther. Other inspirations to this game include science fiction of the 60’s and 70’s. The game teamed up with Sony even though it is an Indie game.. There is a windows version of the game released on 14th April 2016 and also on the PlayStation.

P2-D Characters-

Virtual Families-

In the game virtual families lite, the game has many options of characters to chose from, as soon as you open the game, you as the player are given the option to either ‘reject’ or ‘accept’ an adult character to ‘adopt’ from a list of people. Characteristics of each character include their ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’, their age, whether they want kids, their job, what level they are on in this job and how much they earn. Each adult has different names and look different. You pick from either a male or female character.

The second character that features in this game is someone who is the opposite gender of the first character. The first person will receive a email which shows a picture of the potential partner with their name, a description of their ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’, their age, whether they want kids, their job, what level they are on in this job and how much they earn. You as the player can either reject this potential partner and wait for another to come or marry them.

if the first two characters complete the action ‘trying for a baby’, then a baby arrives and this is then another character in the game. The baby will grow to then become a toddler, child, teen and then a adult.

As the player, you can expand the family as much as you want by having more babies, or chose to have none at all. It is up to you how many people you want in your home; which is why the game is very flexible.

In addition to having babies, there is also an option for adopting a toddler. This makes the game very suitable to 2016 as not everyone in this day and age wants to have babies and like in real life, people will want to adopt.

However, I strongly believe this game isn’t all for equality and isn’t modern. This is because it doesn’t give you the option to marry someone of the same gender, and in 2016 this is normal and modern, so therefore I don’t think this game is very modern.
GTA V- Characters-

Protagonists in Grand Theft Auto V you take control of 3 different characters. Each has their own life and different traits.

Franklin Clinton is one of the characters you are able to play in Grand Theft Auto V. Franklin is a former gang banger who has ambitions to make big money, and realising he will not get that in the gang life, he works a job as a repossession agent for Simeon Yetarian, who owns a luxury car dealership, with his best friend. His special skill is being able to stop time.
Michael De Santa is another protagonist in the game. He is a retired criminal from the East Coast, he moves to Los Santos and is very rich and lives in an exclusive neighbourhood.

Trevor Phillips the third main character in GTA V. He met Michael and both of them became friends and robbed banks and other places to gain a great deal of money.  Trevor's special skill is that when angry he is more strong.

That Dragon Cancer-

That Dragon Cancer follows the journey of young Joel Greene's battle with cancer. He is the main character along with his mum and dad; Ryan and Amy Greene. There is also extra characters such as nurses and doctors within the hospital.

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture-

The main characters in this game is Dr Katherine Collins, Stephen Appleton; whom is Katherine's husband, Wendy Boyle, Stephen's mother and Frank Appleton who is Stephen's uncle.

P2-E gameplay
Virtual Families-

Virtual Families is played from the player looking at the game from a Birdseye view and this enables the player to have a full view of the characters home. As it is played on touch-screen devices only such as iPhone, iPad, tablets and touch-screen phones, the player can tap the screen to move around the house and press down on a character and drag them to a piece of furniture to get them to complete an action.  For example you could drag one of your characters to e.g. the fridge, and this would let them cook and prepare a meal.
In my opinion the gameplay is very simple for this game and even if someone doesn’t understand it, there is a tutorial at the start of the game which shows you how to play the game,
GTA V:
The game is played from a first-person or third-person view. The game can be controlled by either on foot or in a vehicle (e.g. car, van, boat).  Players can pick which character they want to play as throughout the missions and normal gameplay. Many missions involve shooting and driving gameplay.
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture-
In this game, the player explores the English town where the people's belongings have disappeared.
The player can interact with floating lights throughout the world, most of which can reveal parts of the story. The player can also interact with objects such as doors, fences, radios, and tunnels.

That Dragon Cancer-
That Dragon Cancer is played through first and third person perspective, through scenes of young Joel's battle with cancer. The player takes the role of Joel's parents, Ryan and Amy, in fourteen scenes that capture the pain they had to endure.
P2-F-
Virtual Families: The target audience for this game is targeted at young people aged 8 to 17. it is too complex for children under the age of 8, but then it is too simple and ‘childish’ for adults over 17. it is aimed at young people because of the simple language used in the game and the pure simplicity of this game.
GTA V- The age rating required to play this game is 18+ which clearly shows that the game is targeting an adult audience. This is because of it adult themes such as drug use, sexual content, inappropriate language and extreme violence and gun use.

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture-
The target audience for this game is 16+. This is simply because the story-driven mysteries within the game has mature themes such as mild violence and mild bad language.

That Dragon Cancer-
This heartfelt game is rated a 16+ game. This is because some scenes such as Joel battling with a terminally ill disease may be upsetting to younger viewers.
